Our Curriculum Overview
A Commitment to Excellence

We aim to offer a broad and balanced curriculum that provides rewarding and stimulating activities to prepare them for the best social and cultural life.

Whether it is our books or hands-on training, we make sure each student gets personal attention to cope up and flourish in every subject for better scores and a brighter future.

Campus Facilities
The campus has a plethora of flora and fauna that make the perfect setting for a campus life. It is safe, exciting, and diverse and occasionally hosts some birds daily in the well maintained beautiful vegetation. A community library is in its offing and welcomes contributions that align to our mission.

Admission
Students can apply through their Nile Basin Admissions Office that is within the School premises. More information about Nile Basin International School, visit the website

School Staff
Here are some of the remarkable teachers, parents, engaged heads of school, and many more (extra)ordinary people working every day to provide our students with the best possible NBIS experience.

Our Curriculum
We are a Christian International School in Kulambiro, Kampala, dedicated to raising children equipped to be great leaders in society. To achieve this, we provide a home-friendly environment for the children using the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum. Our educational concepts and teaching materials have been tested with a high record of success in children’s education. Our spacious classrooms offer a preschool section focusing on ages kindergarten to ABC to Step by Step and then Grade 1 to 9. Our outdoor playgrounds are designed to provide a safe learning environment for a child with various activities, including playing, agriculture, and physical exercises.

Regular Kampala City Council School supervision ascertains that our standards meet the basic minimum standards set by Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports.

  1. Fine Arts. Giving wings to the artists who’d like to take it up as a career or just a hobby. Our students are trained by professionals who help them develop, learn and polish their skills while at school.
  2. Science. The study encourages scientific reasoning, discoveries and inventions. Great teachers and well-equipped laboratories help students explore, discover and experiment new things under the best supervision.
  3. Mathematics. Understanding the game of numbers and logic to solve real world problems. Learn mathematics from scholars and university toppers who not only make it interesting, but also fun to learn
  4. Students are Prosperous. Student achievement and growth in academic, social, emotional, behavioural, technology and physical areas are central to all teaching and learning programs and are demostrated through ongoing assessment. We aim to teach students the resilience needed to handle the pressures of life. This approach enables us to build the student’s capacities for increased demonstration of behaviour expectations (Kindness, Responsibility, Respectfulness, and Learners)
  5. Staff are Effective. Student achievement and growth drive all policy, planning, and procedures. Staff collaborate, share knowledge and actively support each other within a trusting environment. All own responsibility for student achievement. Staff actively seek to improve what they do through ongoing professional learning, self-reflection, and the practical analysis of their impact on student achievement.
  6. Community Partnerships enhance Learning.
  7. The Learning Environment is Supportive. All the students are challenged and engaged in learning. Every student supports positive learning and growth. All members of the school community feel welcome and safe.
